The hydrolyzing enzyme, myrosinase (a thioglucosidase), is stored in different cells than its substrates. While myrosinase-containing cells are mostly glucosinolate-free, the so-called sulfur-rich cells (or S-cells) contain high concentrations of glucosinolates.
