Totipotency

the ability of a single cell to divide and produce all of the differentiated cells in an organism (embryonic and extra embryonic cells).

Eg- spores and zygotes

Pluripotency A stem cell that has the potential to differentiate into any of three germ layers(endoderm , mesoderm & ectoderm). Eg-all embryonic cells

Multipotency

A stem cell can differentiate into a number of cell types but only those a closely related family of cells.

Eg- Hematopoietic stem cells
